Emergency Services

GP’s at the clinic have all had basic training in emergency medicine as this is a pre requisite for General Practice training. Therefore,most emergencies can be dealt with first line at the clinic and if further care is needed,a direct referral to the nearest emergency will be facilitated.

Simple emergencies can be handled at the clinic to avoid long wait times at emergency departments which can vary from 2-6 hours depending on how busy they are.

The clinic is equipped with equipments like ECG machine,defibrillator,asthma pumps and nebulisers,plaster of paris for fractures,eye examination equipments,suture materials

We can handle most minor emergencies like:

• Allergies and anaphylaxis
• Foreign bodies in the eyes
• Falls and injuries to skin and soft tissues including ligaments and joints
• All Fractures (other than open wound fractures)
• Wound care including suturing and post suturing care
• Asthma and croup
• Bronchiolitis in babies
• Acute pain including back pains,headaches
• Chest pains (including suspected heart attacks)
• Heart arrythmias
• Fainting & collapse
• Acute abdominal pain (including diarrhoea and vomitting)
• Urinary tract infections including severe ones
• Pneumonias and chest infections
