Ram was born in Andhra Pradesh, India and grew up in New Zealand. Through the University of Otago in Dunedin, he completed the Bachelor of Biomedical Science majoring in Functional Human Biology before completing the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He worked in New Zealand for 3 years, then moved to Melbourne after meeting his now wife, who is a children’s doctor.
Ram completed his GP training in the Gippsland region and is a new Fellow of the RACGP.
Ram gives great value to spirituality and moral living, and this is reflected in his work. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, playing badminton, camping and spending time with family and friends.
