Dr.Lwin Mar Thein graduated from the University of Medicine in Yangon in Burma and moved to Australia in 2010 to do her further study and training in Australia. She got married in Melbourne with her fiancé in Melbourne in the same year. Her husband is also a dedicated GP, She completed her FRACGP in 2015 and then further to this also undertook her Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and she has successfully finished a general Dermatology Diploma in 2016.
Her special interests are in Women’s Health, Dermatology and Skin Cancer medicine, Child Health, Minor surgery, Emergency Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Chronic Disease management.
Outside of work Dr.Thein enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. She loves travelling, jogging, watching movies, meditation and doing religious deeds.
